What to feed butterflies who needs additional food?
In our neighbour hood there are many butterflies but not many flowers. I visited once a butterfly sanctuary and there they fed them extra with a scrub-sponge soaked with a substance I don’t remember anymore. So if anyone can tell me how and what to give to butterflies as additional food I would be very happy to apply this in our neighbour hood.

Sugar-water :D But if there are lots of butterflies where you live, surely there’s enough food for them…? But I’m not old enough or educated enough to know these things :P
Anyways, according to the sidte below, a ration of 1 part sugar to 20 parts water should give you some decent butterfly fodder!
