Great Stuff from back then
@flobbegusted Is this the little rhyme about ‘Buggy’ that so many people say, or is this an original one of your own?
loved this
Like Butterflies, check out my tribute song to Wendy Craig and spread the word.
Cheers

I so remember the series fondly!
Adored this series. Funny how when you watch it decades later (as an older maturer woman) you see things in it that the first time went way over your head. Wonderful writing by Carla Lane as always and superb acting by Wendy Craig. A Joy to watch.
When she was tlking about catching butterflies and saying it was all squashed in your hand it remnded me of a little rhyme I made up called Hi this is Buggy.
I loved her sons they were such cheeky slackers
They are showing Solo on UK Gold at the moment, another Carla Lane series featuring Felicity Kendall, does anyone else remember it?
lol yeah i know so funny! x
no they didn’t, she refused him and stayed with her hubby! x
MissCharlotte I’m so sorry I gave you a thumbs down by accident.
I used to enjoy this show nwhen I was younger.
I watched this show as a kid in the UK. Loved it! Brings back memories.
A lovely, bitter-sweet comedy series, I remember it well! Ria and Leonard never got it together did they?…….
back in the early 80’s i watched this show all the way through
several weeks of its broadcast on the local pbs station, and found myself more and more interested as each new show was aired. yes, it might have elements of soap opera but the acting and the situations were so real and fresh and funny. still keep fond memories of the series!
Its a beautiful show, its funny and sad all at the same time. Romantic and passionate, and about love.
I have never seen that show! It looks funny! I should get cable just to watch the BBC
Crumb! I haven’t seen butterflies since the early eighties…it used to be one of several programmes that my family would watch together. I seem to remember the family helper, Ruby, was quite a rough diamond? Great viewing!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE will someone post a clip of the fabulous cleaner called Ruby!
I’m glad to know that there are others who loved this show. Thank you so much for posting.
I am so excited I found this! Also love the series and want the boxed set.
“triffle”?? “TRIFFLE”!?

Has anyone found the comic relief skits yet? This is a beautiful series, pure passion and love.
I think “Trifle” has only one F, BBC!
Yes, she’s brilliant and the writing is brilliant! Love it!
